Saterday walk and couch searching

Walking around a new area in town we never been to. Saw manny pretty things but no couch. It still was an amazing place to visit.

• There's a peek of what I will do with my fabrics.  I still need some more time to finnish since everything is a bit hectic. We're still renovating with no heat and it's getting really cold. I did made an extra fabric design for the second edition of Pots & Paper (very excited about this one!), but more about that in a few days.

Take care my dear friends and stay warm!

the big draw

Here some delayed pictures from 'The Big Draw'.  Already a couple of weeks ago I participated in a one time screenprinting lesson at the academie in Ghent. I'm quite fond about this printing technique and thinking about following some lessons.

I think it's clear enough. We still don't are were we should be to make things more comfortable, living in a house that still is in renovations. After living here for 2 weeks, there is still no hot water and heat. Looks a little bit like camping in your own home.  Maybe in a few hours there will be some chance in that, since there's drilling and hammering while I write this post. It is not the easiest time for me and my love, having a job by day and start renovating after working hours. But I'm sure we will get there!

I'm still quit positive, after getting some exciting mails these last days. More about that in the coming months! In the meantime, here are some details of how the new atelier looks like at this moment.

I'm back but only to tell you I will be gone for the next two weeks.

We are finally moving to our new place and to a new atelier (see picture below). I'm very excited to start decorating, but first floors have to be placed, walls have to be treated, doors need to be sanded and so much more...

As soon as I can get online I will share more pics with you.

The shop will be closed for two weeks while we pack and unpack. Reopening on 07/10/2013.

Untill soon!

Sneak peek.

A while ago I talked about a new exciting project that was keeping me occupied. Now I'm very proud to share my first fabric designs with you. I wanted to create something fun and playfull. Something that makes you smile when you look at it. The pattern is based on simple drawings that I used to scribble a lot on paper as a child (you know, images that you keep repeating over and over again) and shapes from fun memories like building towers, sniffing flowers, fruit from my grandparents garden, starry skies ...

Anyway, this is just a sneak peek since I'm not quit there yet. These fabrics will be cut and sewn into new products that I will to share with you very soon. In the meantime I hope you like them as much as I do.

The days are filled with knitting, sewing and renovating - hence the silence here. Wish I could talk about summerdays filled with ice cream, vacations and sun on my skin. Instead we work very hard to catch our deadline. There are white walls now and the space feels light and fresh.
You can have a look here.

A visit

... at my old school. 3 years ago I graduated at this place as a graphic designer. It seems like such a long time but when I walked around, it feels like just yesterday.

Not in pictures: knitting several new projects * enjoying fresh strawberries * waiting for my very own fabric designs to arrive and starting new products * filling boxes and preparing a move at the end of this month

P.S. Google Reader is ending today, so you can go over to Bloglovin and follow me there - or just follow with Blogger.

• Working on an exciting new project.
• Upgrading my knitting skills. After years of knitting only simple scarfs it is time to learn some new techniques. You can follow me on Ravelry and you can find the pattern of the triangle loop here.

• No pictures of the reason this blog has been so quiet. Me and my are working very hard on our big renovation project. Preparing everything for the plasterer, painting, sanding,... We hope to move in the next month or two. Besides all this I'm also busy working on some graphic assignments, preparing packages for new stockists and next week I have a shoot with the cutest little boy. Busy busy busy, but I hope I can still find time to blog now and then. Untill soon!
